Freshman Prospect Camp-2025

On July 29/30th we will be hosting our annual prospect camp for incoming freshmen interested in participating in baseball.

The Freshman prospect camp is to familiarize incoming players with our tryout process and familiarize them with coaches, current players, and the program itself. We typically have 2-3 days of tryouts, in March. Most likely inside and in less than ideal conditions. As coaches we are familiar with everyone who is returning. We've seen them play in games, we know if they've gotten stronger, faster, and better. We have spring stats for each of them from the prior season as well. We are less familiar with our incoming freshman. The camp helps with that and allows us to start making connections with them.

Here is what to expect:

Tuesdayday July 29th 4:00-6:00pm will be a showcase style workout. This is similar to what day 1 of spring tryouts will look like. Players will be broken into positions and will have their arm strength, bat speed, exit velocity, and foot speed measured. They will also have their defensive skills evaluated. Each station will be led by one of our coaches and returning players.

Wednesday July 30th 3:00-6:00 will start out with some positional skills and drill work and then turn into a scrimmage/simulated game. This is really important because the weather in the spring doesn't always allow us to see how these athletes perform on a field and in baseball situations.

Cost:

$100.00 per player
